Health Monitoring and Preventative Care
Preventative health care is essential for maintaining wellness and may help prevent the onset of chronic disease. Preventative health care is not just about addressing current health issues but also about promoting future good health.
Some preventative health services include routine cancer screenings, such as cervical/HPV testing, mammograms, bowel cancer screening, cardiovascular risk assessments, including blood pressure monitoring and cholesterol testing, diabetes and pre diabetics management and lifestyle advice which could be about diet, alcohol consumption or your smoking cessation goals. Our goal is to provide you with the information and support you need to make informed decisions about your health.
Specific age groups may benefit from targeted preventative health measures, so we routinely conduct 45-49 year old health checks and again for with the over 75s. Talk to your GP or our Practice Nurse about the benefits of these preventative health assessments.
