February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and provides us all an opportunity to focus on ovarian cancer and its impact on those affected by the disease.
Ovarian cancer is the 10th most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian women, and the second most commonly diagnosed gynaecological cancer.
It is important that women are aware of the facts about ovarian cancer, the symptoms to look out for and what to do. Ovarian Cancer Australia was founded by people directly affected by ovarian cancer who wanted to raise awareness of the disease and support those who had been effected.
